VANDUSER, Mo. -- Kenneth Martin, 95, died Nov. 15, 2017, at Sikeston Convalescent Center in Sikeston.

Born Dec. 5, 1921, in Double Springs, Ala., son of the late William Virgil and Liza Jackson Martin, he was a longtime employee of the Engram Farm in Vanduser. He was one of the founding members of the Vanduser Church of God. He was instrumental in the Vanduser Community Life Center.

On June 22, 1944, he married Reta Sutherland Martin; she preceded him in death March 9, 2008.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters.

Survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, Bill and Carol Martin of Sikeston and Tom and Kathleen Martin of Summerville, S.C.; one daughter and son-in-law, Kaye and Rick Swaim of Miami, Fla.; one brother, Leldon Martin of Ashville, Ala.; and seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from noon until service time at 1 p.m. Monday at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston.

Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
