MALDEN, Mo. -- James Irvin Thomason, 80, died Nov. 17, 2017, at Delta South Skilled Nursing and Rehab.

Born Sept. 17, 1937, in Harrell, Ark., son of the late Nolan Travis and Virginia Elizabeth Williams Thomason, he was a member of Bernie Church of Christ and a member of the National Guard.

His first wife, Jo An White, preceded him in death on Oct. 17, 1997.

On May 8, 1998, he married Wanda Lape, and she survives of the home in Sikeston.

Other survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Amy Thomason of Risco; two stepsons and spouse, Mark Beaird of Parma and Jeff and Chastity Beaird of Bernie; one stepdaughter and her husband, Tamra and Randy Terry of Dexter; two brothers, Royce Thomason of Malden and Ronnie Thomason of Bernie; one sister, Alice Smith; and 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by one son, Bruce Thomason; and one sister, Margaret Bess.

Services were conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at Bernie Church of Christ with Stan Dauck officiating.

Burial followed in the Memorial Park Cemetery at Malden.

Bradshaw Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
