Bobby Wilkerson

SIKESTON -- Bobby Wilkerson, age 78, died Jan. 26, 2018, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born March 5, 1939, in Fisk, to the late Orville and Margie (Gillihan) Wilkerson, he was a member of Church on the Rock and had owned and operated Wilkerson Well Drilling before retiring.

On Aug. 30, 1958, he married Berdine (Cureton) Wilkerson; she survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one son, Tim Wilkerson of Blodgett; one daughter, Debbie S. Nelson of Benton; one brother, Garry Wilkerson of Benton; one sister and brother-in-law, Janetta and John Massey of Miner; six grandchildren and their spouses, Darren and Kristina Brown, Kalab Brown, Crystal and Steven Morgan, Travis Nelson, Jason Wilkerson and Bobby Wilkerson; and nine great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Sharon K. Brown; three brothers, Bill Wilkerson, A.C. Wilkerson and Dennis Wilkerson; two sisters, Joyce Hicks and Ada Lee Hamilton; one son-in-law, Darrell Brown; and one daughter-in-law, Mary (Morefield) Wilkerson.

Visitation will be held Monday, Jan. 29 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston, where funeral services will be held Tuesday, Jan. 30 at 11 a.m. Curtis True, pastor of Church of the Rock, will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Gravel Hill Cemetery at Dexter.
