NEW MADRID, Mo. -- New Madrid County Central's Future Farmers of America program received funding to enhance the district's science, technology, engineering and math education.

DuPont Pioneer donated $4,800 toward the implementation of the STEM-based agriscience curriculum called "Curriculum for Agriculture Science Education" as part of the DuPont Pioneer sponsorship program.

"The implementation of the first CASE class, Introduction to Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources has come with great success over the last two years. Students are able to learn important information in the class by conducting multiple labs in a very hands-on atmosphere. The money from DuPont Pioneer will be used to obtain training and buy supplies to offer another one hour CASE class for upperclassmen," said Ellen Amos, agriculture education instructor at New Madrid County R-1.
