Timothy Newton

EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. -- Timothy Alan Newton, 56, died Sept. 27, 2016, at his home. Born Nov. 15, 1959, in Sikeston, to the late Elvis Lee "Opie" Newton and Lucy Ann Bennett Newton Evans, he lived most his life in East Prairie where he worked at Stanley Muffler Company.

Survivors include: his fiancee, Laura Owens of East Prairie; one daughter and son-in-law, Gabrielle and Chad Sierman of Cape Girardeau; two sons, Joshua Isaiah Newton and Jacob Lucas Newton and his fiancee Brittany Mickle of New Madrid; one sister, Cherry Garner of East Prairie; and four grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Visitation is from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie, where services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday with Keith Cook officiating.

Burial will follow at the East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Josh Newton, Jacob Newton, Anthony Mansfield, Tim Brooks, Timmy Siars and Lincy Baker.
