Josephine Fowler
NEW MADRID, Mo. — Josephine Champion Fowler, 95, died April 20, 2018, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born July 5, 1922, in Fulton, Ky., daughter of the late John and Ida Grooms Champion, she was a member of the Kewanee Missionary Baptist Church.
On June 15, 1940, she married Henry E. Fowler, who preceded her in death on Jan. 14, 2002.
She was also preceded in death by five brothers and six sisters.
Survivors include: one daughter and son-in-law, Gail and Jim Duke of New Madrid; one son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Annette Fowler of Lake Charles, La.; two sisters-in-law, Mary Champion and Dorothy Fowler; and four grandchild, 8 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was from 11 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Kewanee Baptist Church. Dan Wisely officiated.
Burial followed in the Garden of Memories at Sikeston.
Richards Funeral Home of New Madrid was in charge of arrangements.
