Lewis Jones

EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. — Lewis Edward Jones, a resident of East Prairie, died June 2, 2018, at the East Prairie Nursing Center.

Lewis was born Feb. 11, 1929, to the late Leonard Clyde and Frankie Emma Wolford Jones. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in East Prairie and was a farmer. On Dec. 7, 1953, he married Frankie Genieva Dunn Jones who preceded him in death on April 13, 2018.

He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Cindi and Mike Miller of Dogwood; three grandchildren, Chris and Jennifer Baker, Michael and Jennifer Miller and Stephen Miller; and four great-grandchildren, Christopher Baker, Mila Baker, Haley Miller and Logan Miller.

Lewis was preceded in death by two sisters, Frankie Lucille Jones and Mary Eveleene Miller.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 7, 2018, from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. at Shelby Funeral Home with Ted Wimberley and George White officiating.

Burial will follow at East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery,
