Mitsuko Terrell

MOREHOUSE, Mo. — Mitsuko Terrell, age 86, passed away at her home in Morehouse on Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2018.

She was born Jan. 19, 1932, in Tokyo, Japan, to the late Tomekichi and Teru Ikeda. On March 19, 1957, she married Willard David "Bill" Terrell who preceded her in death on March 30, 1970.

Mitsuko was a member of Murray Lane Baptist Church. Before leaving Japan, she worked in retail where she met her husband and in a bank which allowed her to help buy her mother a house. She was a cafeteria worker in the Sikeston Public Schools for over 30 years.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, David and Michelle Terrell of Sikeston; two daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara Jackson and Bill Reynolds and Michi and John Launius, both of Morehouse; 13 grandchildren and their spouses, Ronnie and Lisa Jackson, Lora and Harold Fodge, Anita Hux, Wendy and Phillip Tidwell, Tena and Tony McDonald, John T. and Carly Launius, Sarah Ramsey, VanceTerrell, Lyndsi Terrell, Chris and Larissa Launius, Angelia and Heath Thomas, Brier and Robby Brummett and David and Tricia Reynolds.

Visitation will be held Sunday, Sept. 30 at Ponder Funeral Home, from 1 p.m. until time of services at 3 p.m. Her son-in-law, John Launius, will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Sikeston City Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: John Launius, Ronnie Jackson, Vance Terrell, Harold Fodge, Nicholas Tidwell, Brent Carlyle.
