EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. — Dickey E. Russell passed away Sept. 29, 2018, at his home near East Prairie.
He was born Sept. 3, 1941, in East Prairie, to the late Harry and Lois Farrenburg Russell. He was a self-employed farmer.
On April 12 1979, in Benton, he married Sherry Buck Russell who survives of the home.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Paul Bryan and Derenda Russell of Dogwood and Eric and Stephanie Yates of Sikeston; one brother and sister-in-aw, Buddy and Diane Russell of East Prairie; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Janie and Jerry Maxwell of Dogwood, Marilyn and Ervin Kranawetter of Fruitland; five grandchildren and their spouses, Cody Bryan Russell, Gavin Bewley, Skyler Bewley, Elisabeth Yates Lewis,Payton Yates and Cotton; many beloved nieces and nephews; and longtime friend and farmhand, James Anderson.
Visitation is from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 1, 2018, at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie where services are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Tuesday with Amy Brentlinger officiating. She will be assisted by Elijah Allen, Crown Hospice chaplain.
Interment will follow in East Prairie Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be: Charles Thurmond, Gavin Bewley, Skyler Bewley, Cody Russell, Ben Ray, Lance Ray and Rob Barker. Honorary pallbearers will be: James Anderson, Bill Taylor, David Barnett, Jack Feezor and Bill Feezor.
