Marcella Cross

PORTAGEVILLE, Mo. — Marcella “Sweetie” Cross, 94, died Nov. 24, 2018, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born Sept. 18, 1924, in Caruthersville, daughter of the late Trummie New Treece and John Treece, she was a member of the First Baptist Church in Portageville.

On Sept. 16, 1939, in Blytheville, Ark., she married Mack “Rusty” Cross, who preceded her in death on Dec. 27, 2015.

Also preceding her in death were 15 Brothers and Sisters, One son-in-law, Larry White and daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Cross.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Laurie Cross of Portageville; two daughters and a son-in-law, Barbara White and Marsha and Larry Bradfield of Portageville; one sister, Helen Worley of Hot Springs, Ark.; and eight grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at DeLisle Funeral Home in Portageville.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Portageville with the Rev. John Compere officiating.

Burial will follow in the Portageville Cemetery.
