PARMA, Mo. — J.C. Leonard, 75, died Dec. 1, 2018, at his home near Parma.

Born Nov. 13, 1943, in Portageville, son of the late William Monroe and Opal Lee Redman Leonard, he was a retired nuclear engineer and member of the First Baptist Church in Parma. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a pilot.

On Aug. 2, 1964, in Catron, he married Margie Ruth Miller, who preceded him in death on May 19, 2008.

Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Duwayne and Tammy Leonard of Swansea, Ill.; one daughter, Sharon Leonard of Parma; and two grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Bill and Sonny; and four sisters, Betty, Mildred, Margaret and Nadine.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the Parma Cemetery with Dr. Jim Kerr of Shiloh, Ill., officiating.

Burial with full military honors will follow with Watkins and Sons Funeral Service of Parma in charge of arrangements.
