Students of Month for November named

SHS/SPS Foundation Students of the Month-November are Grant Lawson, SPS Foundation Director Lauren DeWitt and Aaron Mayes.

SIKESTON — Grant Lawson and Aaron Mayes were named Sikeston High School Students of the Month for November.

Sikeston Public Schools Foundation, which sponsors the monthly program, names two seniors each month for the honor during the 2018-2019 school year.

Lawson is the son of Lance Lawson and Sarah Lawson. He is active in DECA, Bums, A+, NHS, Model UN and varsity tennis. In his spare time, he enjoys playing tennis and driving around with his friends.

Mayes, who is the son of Charles Mayes and Ronda Mayes, is a member of NHS and Teens Against Pollution. He plays varsity tennis and is the first chair cello in the Chamber Orchestra.

Most of his time is spent listening to or playing music. He also likes to play tennis with friends and video games.
