Ron Shelby

SIKESTON — Ronald "Ron" Shelby, 65, died Feb. 13, 2019, at his home in Sikeston.

Born Nov. 25, 1953, in Cape Girardeau, son of the late Don and Elizabeth Blaylock Shelby, he was a veteran of the United States Air Force and a self-employed business man.

On Nov. 24, 1978, in Colorado Springs, Colo., he married Barbara Rittel; she survives of the home.

Other survivors include one son, Ronald T. "Todd" Shelby and his spouse, Bridgett Shelby of Diehlstadt; one daughter, Jennifer Shelby Renew and her spouse, Elizabeth Renew of Vancouver, Wash.; two brothers, Donald Shelby of Lawton, Okla. and Dennis Shelby of Bell City; two sisters, Vicki Shelby of Sikeston and Laura Shelby of Livingston, Texas; and one granddaughter, Nora Shelby of Diehlstadt.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Ponder Funeral Home of Sikeston is in charge of arrangements.
