BERTRAND, Mo. — Ethel Marie Jones, 82, died March 10, 2019, at Clearview Nursing Center in Sikeston.
Born Oct. 20, 1936, in Arkansas, daughter of the late Marshall and Daisy Clark Sterling, she had been a cook at a nursing home in California. She was of the Baptist belief and had moved to Bertrand in February 2016.
On March 4, 1954, in Arkansas, she married Milnie Ray Jones, and he preceded her in death May 24, 1973.
Survivors include one daughter, Marie Fleeman of the home in Bertrand; three brothers, Dennis Sterling, Dwight Sterling and Robert Sterling of Arkansas; four sisters, Kathy Sterling, Susie Sterling, Phyllis Sterling and Glenda Sterling of Arkansas; five grandchildren, Charlie McCabe, Jason McCabe, January Jones, Wesley Jones and Jessica Jones; and eight great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Jackie Ray Jones and David Earl Jones; and one brother, Jerry Sterling.
She has been cremated and no services are planned at this time. with Blanchard Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements.
