MRV Banks makes $840 donation to Kenny Rogers Children’s Center

SIKESTON — MRV Banks recently donated an $840 check to the Kenny Rogers Children’s Center at the 39th Annual Kenny Rogers Center Telethon.

MRV Banks President and CEO Doug Watson said the bank encouraged donations by allowing every employee who donated $10 to put their name into a drawing to win an extra vacation day. The bank then matched the total amount raised.

“The Kenny Rogers Children’s Home has been doing wonderful things for children throughout Southeast Missouri for years,” said Watson. “One of our employees has a daughter who receives speech therapy and occupational therapy services there and we also have another employee who has volunteered with the organization for years. This was a nice opportunity for the entire Sikeston Branch to come together to raise funds and make a difference.”

“We are very appreciative of MRV Banks support for our organization especially as this money helps us continue to provide services at no charge,” said Kenny Rogers Children’s Center Executive Director Michelle Fayette. “We are still a little short of our total telethon donation goal, so if you haven’t made your annual donation yet, it’s not too late to do so.”
