FREDERICKTOWN, Mo. — Ora H. Wells, 89, formerly of Sikeston, died March 9, 2019.
Born Feb. 28, 1930, in Faro, son of the late Jess Leonard and Rachel Flora Wells, he served in the United States Navy where he received the National Defense Service Ribbon. He worked as a senior construction inspector for Missouri Department of Transportation for 30 years.
His wife, Betty Wells, survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two sons, Jim Wells and Brian (Jane) Wells; two daughters, Diane (Bill) Durham and Linda Wells, three sisters, Maple Bilbrey, Geraldine Wisdom and Hazel Duckett; and six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by four brothers, George Wells, Richard Wells, Nela Wells and Jess Wells; and four sisters, Freda Buford, Reda Wells, Opal Wells and Lorene Wells.
Services were conducted March 13 at Follis and Sons Funeral Home in Fredericktown with Bryan Schaefer officiating.
Burial followed in the Christian Cemetery.
