Mildred Wilhite

ROCKVIEW, Mo. — Mildred Mattlene Wilhite, 92, died July 14, 2019, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

Born Jan. 23, 1927, in McGee, daughter of the late Robert T. Young and Cecile McDaniel Young, she was a homemaker and member of the Grace United Methodist Church.

On April 5, 1947, in Chaffee, she married Roy Lee Wilhite, who preceded her in death on May 3, 2007.

Survivors include: three sons, Steve Wilhite (Betty) of Morley, Ronnie Wilhite (Cheryl) of Rockview and Bob Wilhite (Rene) of Chaffee; three daughters, Faye Jones (John) of Oran, Berta Laubach (Dennis) of Benton and Shari Austin (Rodney) of Chaffee; one sister, Wilma Hinkle of Greeneville, Tenn.; and 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.

Visitation is from noon until service time at 2 p.m. Friday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Chaffee with Jimmy Smiley officiating. 

Burial will follow in the Union Park Cemetery at Chaffee.
