Margie Vandeven, Missouri's commissioner of the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, conducts a live video chat Monday morning with members of the staff of New Madrid County R-1 School District. Vandeven expressed her gratitude to the teachers and commended their efforts to improve educational opportunities for students. She also noted the state's increased support for teachers.
