SIKESTON — Paulette Parr, age 68, passed away Aug. 23, 2019, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St Louis.
She was born Aug. 15, 1951, in Dyersburg, Tenn., daughter of Reva Brooks Parker of East Prairie and the late Ernest Parker.
Paulette was a member of St. James Baptist Church in East Prairie and had been a purchasing agent for Missouri Delta Community Hospital before retiring.
On Jan. 15, 1997, in Las Vegas, Nev., she married Cal Parr; he survives of the home in Sikeston.
In addition to her mother and husband, she is survived by two sons, Dr. Brent (Dr. Julie) Mayabb of Fenton and Dr. Trevin (Dr. Fallan) Mayabb of Sikeston; two daughters, Marissa (Keith) Smith of Sikeston and Michelle (Justin) Clevenger of Knob Noster; one brother, Ricky Parker of East Prairie; and six grandchildren.
Visitation will be Monday, Aug. 26 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston, where funeral services will be held Tuesday, Aug. 27 at 10:30 a.m. The Rev. David Dowdy, pastor of St. James Baptist Church, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
Pallbearers will be: Cal Parr, Brent Mayabb, Trevin Mayabb, Keith Smith, Joe Schneider and William Earl Brooks.
