CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. — The Messiah Choir will begin rehearsals Sept. 23 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 100 N. Frederick St., in Cape Girardeau, Mo. There will be refreshments following the first rehearsal and a choir appreciation dinner in December. No experience is necessary and there are no auditions. The group will be singing choruses from all three parts of the “Messiah.” Rehearsals are the second and fourth Monday of the month from 7-8:30 p.m. Singers of all ages are welcome and the concerts will be Jan. 12 and 19, 2020.
SIKESTON — LIFE CHAIN 2019 will be held from 2:30-3:30 p.m. Oct. 6 at the intersection of Main and Malone. This national event is a public witness of pro life individuals praying for our nation and an end to abortion. Churches from Sikeston and the surrounding area will stand silently and prayerfully holding signs that support life and oppose abortion.
