SIKESTON — Chris Conroy, vice president and general manager of KFVS-TV, has been named to the board of directors of Southeast Missouri Food Bank.

“We are incredibly grateful to have Chris join our board,” said SEMO Food Bank Chief Executive Officer Joey Keys. “Not only is he an energetic leader in the broadcast media industry, he has experience serving on a food bank board. We’re looking forward to him bringing those skills to our organization.”

Conroy, a 30-year veteran of the broadcast industry, was named vice president and general manager of KFVS/WQWQ in March 2018. He came to Cape Girardeau from Raycom Media sister station KAIT (ABC) in Jonesboro, Ark. While in Arkansas, he served on the board of the Food Bank of Northeast Arkansas.

“Having access to nutritious food is one of the most basic human needs,” Conroy said. “Food banks do an excellent job of providing food to so many people through the member pantries, soup kitchens and other shelters in the communities they serve. I am proud of the work we did at the Arkansas food bank, and I look forward to helping Southeast Missouri Food Bank achieve great things as well.”

Other members of the food bank board include Chairman Gary Elders, Vice Chairman Marty Platz, Secretary Danielle Poyner, Frank Jones, Janey Foust, Roger Guilliams, Mark Avery, Julianna Montgomery Ford and Keys.
