Georges joins Saint Francis Pain Management Center

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – Saint Francis Healthcare System has announced that Ricardo A. Georges, MD, DABA has joined Saint Francis Pain Management Center.

Georges hails from from Queens, New York where he was born, raised and pursued his career in medicine. After completing his undergraduate degree at New York University, he earned his medical degree from SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University in Brooklyn, New York in 2008. He then completed his Anesthesiology residency at Stony Brook University Hospital in Stony Brook, New York in 2018 and achieved board certification in this specialty. Georges also completed an Interventional Pain Medicine fellowship at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Mass. in 2019 in which he is also board eligible.

Georges has a niche in treating numerous pain issues secondary to musculoskeletal disorders, spinal pathologies, central pain syndromes, cancer pain, migraine and entrapment neuropathies with a heavy emphasis on rehabilitative practices. His practice is geared toward interventional procedures including neuraxial/regional injections, radio-frequency ablations and spinal cord stimulation.

In his free time, Georges is an avid golfer, fitness enthusiast and enjoys traveling abroad. He also has a passion for cooking, snowboarding and cycling.
