PARMA, Mo. — Samuel Ray Eaton, 88, died Oct. 18, 2019, at his home in Parma.
Born Dec. 25, 1930, in Jumpertown, Miss., son of the late Samuel Ruey Eaton and Evelyn McCombs Swiney, he was of the Baptist belief and a member of the Catron Baptist Church in Catron. He worked as a farm mechanic and farmhand in the area for many years.
On Nov. 20, 1959, in Catron, he married Dorothy Miller, who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two sons; Eddie Eaton of Athens, Ala., and Bobby (Cindy) Eaton of Paris, Tenn.; three daughters, Angela (Yancey) Hardin of Catron, Sue Eaton of Parma and Samantha (Rica) Brown of Clarkton; a son-in-law, Gary Martin of Smithville, Miss.; and 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Sara Martin.
