Two to vie for at-large Sikeston City Council position in April election

SIKESTON — There will be a race for the Sikeston at-large city council position.

Two candidates had filed to run for the Sikeston at-large city council position when filing closed on Tuesday afternoon. Incumbent Brian Self filed as did challenger Mallory Whiffen.

With only two candidates, a primary election will not be necessary and the two candidates will be placed on the general ballot in the April 7, 2020 election.
