Helen Tanner

BATON ROUGE, La. — Helen Carol Kellams Tanner, 87, died Nov. 28, 2019, at Baton Rouge.

Born Sept. 9, 1932, in Portageville, Mo., she was the daughter of the late Mable Hawkins Kellams and Wallace Kellams.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Lee Tanner; one son, Jacque Kellams Tanner; and three brothers, Harold Gene, Billy Wayne and Donald Ray Kellams.

Survivors include: three daughters, Karla Tanner Harrison of Memphis, Tenn., Joy Woods and Kelly Harris of Baton Rouge; one brother, Kelly Kellams of Portageville; one sister, Leann Kellams of Portageville; and seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is from 11 a.m. until service time at 11:30 a.m. Friday in the Portageville Cemetery, where burial will follow.

DeLisle Funeral Home in Portageville is in charge of arrangements.
