Bill Jordan
BATCHELOR, La. — William Richard "Bill" Jordan, 79, died Dec. 22, 2019, at his home in Batchelor.
Born Dec. 22, 1939, in Morehouse, Missouri, son of the late Loy and Mable Irbin Jordan, he was raised in the Morehouse and Essex, Missouri, communities and for many years had lived in Batchelor where he was an over-the-road truck driver. He has served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam.
He was first married to Ann Jordan; she preceded him in death. He later married Betty Lou Parrish.
In addition to his wife, survivors include: Betty Lou Jordan of Batchelor; four sons and daughters-in-law, James Dennis and Anne Adams of Central, Floyd D. and Dona Adams and Scott D. and Lisa Adams of Batchelor, Tim and Angie Jordan of Dexter, Missouri; two brothers; Bob Jordan and Mike Jordan of Dexter; two sisters, Glenda Evans and Deloma Penrose of Dexter; and 17 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers, David Jordan and Dawsey Jordan.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time at noon Monday at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.
Burial with full military honors will follow in the Essex Cemetery at Essex.
