SIKESTON — Walter Beck Pollock, 64, died Dec. 19, 2019.

Born July 6, 1955, at Cairo, Ill., son of the late James Girard Pollock and Bessie Nannette “Nan” Beck Pollock, he had lived a number of years in Sikeston where he was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and a former Knights of Columbus. He was a farmer and commercial trucker.

In 1974, he married Debra Kay Almon, who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: three children, Walter Beck Pollock II of Cape Girardeau, James Cullen Pollock of Sikeston and Jan Courtney Pollock Gibson and her husband Josh of Beavercreek, Ohio; one brother, James Girard Pollock of Sikeston; one sister, Rebecca Pollock Frisbie of Newton, Iowa; and four grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time for the funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Friday at the St. Henry Catholic Church in Charleston. The Rev. David Dohogne will serve as celebrant.

Private family burial will follow in the IOOF Cemetery near Charleston under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home.
