Charity Alberson

SIKESTON — Charity “Estella” Alberson, 90, died Dec. 23, 2019, at the Sikeston Convalescent Center in Sikeston.

Born June 15, 1929, in Hornersville, Missouri, daughter of the late Thomas L. and Zuella Pendley Griffin, she was a member of Sikeston Community Baptist Church.

On May 15, 1947, she married Samuel Alberson, preceded her in death on July 31, 2004.

Survivors include: two daughters and sons-in-law, Joan and Jay Kruger and Melissa and Steven Hubbard of Sikeston; one brother, Thomas L. Griffin Jr. of Wappapello, Missouri; one sister, Delores Garrison of Dexter, Missouri; and seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Thomas S. Alberson and Samuel K. Alberson; and one grandson.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. Thursday at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston. The Rev. Glen Cantrell, pastor of Sikeston Community Baptist Church, will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery at Sikeston.
