Norma Maddox
SIKESTON — Norma Jean Maddox, 89, died Feb. 24, 2020, at the Integrity Nursing Center in Carbondale, Ill.
Born Aug. 15, 1930, at Crowder, daughter of the late John Ransom Sherry and Bessie Gladys Daniels Sherry, she had lived in Sikeston most of her life.
Survivors include: her daughter, Sharon Grots of Forsyth; three brothers, Allen D. Sherry of Columbia, Gerald Sherry of Cambria, Ill., and Ronald W. Sherry of Collinsville, Ill; three sisters, Betty Lee Smith of Carbondale, Ill., Laura J. Young of Bonne Terre and Peggy J. Whittom of Fairview Heights, Ill.; and several grandchildren, stepgrandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-stepgrandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Lou Vangilder and Wanda L. Withers.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time at 2 p.m. Thursday at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. The Rev. George Rendelman, pastor of the Wesley United Methodist Church in Sikeston will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Blodgett Cemetery.
