Abby Cohen

SIKESTON — Abigail "Abby" Cohen, 22, died Feb. 29, 2020, at Missouri Delta Community Hospital in Sikeston.

Born April 15, 1997, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Stacy Linhart and Jama Hunt Furgerson of East Prairie, she was the office manager of the Sikeston License Bureau.

On April 20, 2019, in Destin, Florida, she married Christopher Cohen who survives of the home in Sikeston.

In addition to her husband and parents, survivors include: one brother, Cooper Furgerson of East Prairie; four sisters, Alicia Backfisch, Morgan Linhart, Macey Linhart and Kayla Linhart of East Prairie; one stepbrother, Shawn Furgerson of Cape Girardeau; paternal grandparents, Ernie and Linda Linhart of East Prairie; her stepmother, Felicia Linhart; her stepfather Michael Furgerson; her father-in-law, Michael Cohen; her mother-in-law, Teresa (Travis Burger) Cohen; her grandfather- and grandmother-in-law, Terry and Cindy Cole; and her great-grandmothers-in-law, Betty Cole and Mary Jo Rolwing.

Visitation will be from noon until service time at 3 p.m. Sunday at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston. The Rev. Mitchell Jackson will officiate.

Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Nicholas Cohen, Noah Burger, Zane Davis, Matthew Rolwing, Ryan Buttry and Johnathan Brewer.
