AUSTELL, Ga. - Earnestine Jackson, 77, died Feb. 27, 2020, at Pruitt Health Facility in Austell.

Born April 9, 1942, in Tunica, Miss., daughter of the late Johnnie and Rosie Bell Withers, she was a member of Pilgrim’s Rest Baptist Church where she served as youth director, finance secretary and on the Mother’s Board. She served as president of the Howardville Community Betterment and as a municipal judge for the City of Howardville. She also owned and operated Jackson's Group Home until her retirement.

In 1957, she married Coy Lee Jackson. who preceded her in death.

She was also preceded in death by one son, Keith Jackson; two sisters, Joan and Lula; and two brothers, Ike and John Jr.

Survivors include: two sons and a daughter-in-law, Coyvell and Brenda Jackson and Lee Jackson; one stepdaughter and her husband, Antoinette and Howard Williams; two sisters, Willa Mae Bailey and Ethel Williams; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Services were conducted Saturday at Life Changes Church in Lilbourn.

Burial was followed in Mason (Lily of the Valley) Cemetery at Point Pleasant.

Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid was in charge of arrangements.
