DAEOC to modify services beginning Monday
PORTAGEVILLE, Mo. — As precautionary measures and in the interest of public health, Delta Area Economic Opportunity Corporation (DAEOC) will modify service delivery effective Monday.
According to a news release from Scarlett Loomas, development administrator with DAEOC, all offices will be closed to the public until at least April 3 pursuant to CDC guidance.
Central Office, Outreach Office Staff and Homeless Shelter staff will be available by phone to take calls regarding applications and emergency needs. Those needing to submit an application, please call first for additional instructions.
Head Start and Early Head Start Center Directors will be available by phone for questions and/or emergency needs. Food Baskets for enrolled Head Start children will be distributed during closure and those times will be communicated to the families.
In addition to contacting your local office directly, the 24/7 Emergency Hotline number is 573-521-0232. Leave a detailed message with a working call back number and DAEOC staff will get back to you as soon as possible. You may also reach DAEOC at info@daeoc.com or hsinfo@daeoc.com and we will respond as quickly as possible.
“Thank you for your patience and understanding during this period,” the release stated. “We encourage everyone to practice social distancing as we find ways to keep our staff safe and healthy while providing necessary services to the communities we serve. We will continue to post any updates to delivery of services and/or closures on our website and social media accounts.”
