Steve Stokes
EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. — Stephen Paul “Steve” Stokes, 55, died March 22, 2020, at his home in East Prairie.
Born Oct. 21, 1964, in East Prairie, son of the late Nesby and Opal B. Worthy Stokes, he was employed as a longtime teacher and coach in the East Prairie community.
Survivors include: his partner, Terry Sprinkles; two daughters and sons-in-law, Nicole and Brandon of Bonne Terre and Kimberly and Hunter of Sedalia; three brothers, Kenny Stokes of Colstrip, Mont., Johnny Stokes of East Prairie and Michael Stokes of Kewanee; and one sister, Debbie Stokes of East Prairie.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Herschel and Freddie Stokes.
Private family visitation and services will be at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston with burial to follow at the East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
A public service will be scheduled as soon as the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions have been lifted.
