SAN DIEGO, Calif. — Robin Louise Ross, 49, formerly of Benton, Mo., passed away peacefully on Friday, March 20, 2020, in her home in San Diego, after battling cancer.

She was born Nov. 9, 1970, in Cape Girardeau, Mo., to Tom and Virginia Ross of Benton. She was the youngest of seven and grew up in New Hamburg/Benton, Mo. Robin graduated from Kelly High School in 1989. She graduated from Southeast Missouri State University with an art degree. She also attended University of Central San Diego and received a SHRM Certification.

She moved to San Diego in the late 1990s where she worked at the Museum of Modern Art in LaJolla, Calif., then worked for 15 years at UCSD.

Robin was hilarious and loved to laugh – a lot! Robin was the life of the party! She loved enjoying life, family bonfires, art, sunsets on the beach, family and friends. Her smile and laughter were contagious. She was a great listener, had a wonderful sense of humor and brought joy and compassion to everyone who knew her. Robin was optimistic, adventurous, loved to travel and try new experiences. She took classes in surfing, aerial yoga, cooking, flying, etc. and was even a contestant on “The Price Is Right.” She had a big heart and throughout her life she helped others. She taught yoga and cooking classes and, as a final act of service, she donated her body to science.
