CHARLESTON, Mo. — Thomas Craig Halstead Sr., 69, died March 24, 2020, at his home in Charleston.

Born Aug. 25, 1950, in La Romana, Dominican Republic, son of the late Clint W Halstead Jr. and Dorothy L (Hestand) Halstead, he was a 1968 graduate of Massena Central High School in Massena, N.Y. In 1968-1971 he served in the United States Navy as PO2, Petty Officer, assigned to the USS Nashville, Atlantic Fleet. He then served in the Naval Reserve until 1973. In 1976, he graduated from Henderson State University, Arkadelphia, Ark., with a degree in Business Administration. From 1977 to 1997 he was employed by Noranda Aluminum Inc. He was a member of the St. Henry Catholic Church in Charleston, Knights of Columbus and the Lions Club.

On Feb. 12, 1994, he married Donna Lee Bryant, who preceded him in death on Jan. 10, 2019.

Survivors include: one son, Thomas “Tommy” Craig (Alison) Halstead of Portageville; two stepsons, Cully (Julie) Bryant of Sikeston and Jason (Elizabeth) Bryant of East Prairie; one brother, Clint W. Halstead III of Gideon; one sister, Holly Harris of Vicksburg, Miss.; and eight grandchildren.

Services will be held at later date.
