SIKESTON — Deyonte Damone Baker, 24, died May 25, 2020, in Sikeston.

Born Oct. 13, 1995, in Sikeston, son of Demetrius Baker and Shannell Turner Baker of Sikeston, he attended Sikeston Public Schools and was a member of the 2014 graduating class. He was currently employed at Colton’s Steakhouse in Sikeston.

He was preceded in death his grandfather, Napoleon Baker; and his great-grandparents, Leroy and Edna Stokes, Pauline Gray, Veroy Andrews, John Henry “Snap” and Elnater Turner.

In addition to his parents, survivors include: two brothers, Jalonte Hunt of Sikeston and Jacquis Baker of Dallas, Texas; his grandparents, Rosa Peet and Larry (Louise) White Sr. of Sikeston and Elois Baker of St. Louis; seven uncles, Nathaniel Baker of Nashville, Tenn., Tyrell White, Larry White Jr. and Antonio Turner of Sikeston, Avis White of Columbia, Mo., Jeremiah White of Memphis, Tenn., and Larenzo White of St. Louis; four aunts, Rhoneshia Savage and Laporcha Turner of Sikeston, Erica White of Memphis, Tenn., and Tamara West of Chicago; and a special friend, Tiffany Hashelbush.

Visitation is from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at New Hope Ministries in Sikeston. Social distancing rules will be in place, and all attendees should wear faces masks.

The Williams Funeral Home of Sikeston is in charge of arrangements.
