SIKESTON — Wilma Alford, 92, died Sept. 22, 2020, at her home in Sikeston. Born Oct. 23, 1927, in Cooter, Missouri, daughter of the late Walter and Azlee Wagster Neil, she was a lifelong member of Tanner Street Church of God in Sikeston. On June 20, 1944, in Blytheville, Arkansas, she married Harvey Burley Alford, who preceded her in death on Aug. 11, 1998...

SIKESTON — Wilma Alford, 92, died Sept. 22, 2020, at her home in Sikeston.

Born Oct. 23, 1927, in Cooter, Missouri, daughter of the late Walter and Azlee Wagster Neil, she was a lifelong member of Tanner Street Church of God in Sikeston.

On June 20, 1944, in Blytheville, Arkansas, she married Harvey Burley Alford, who preceded her in death on Aug. 11, 1998.

Survivors include: four daughters and sons-in-law, Phyllis and Clyde Hollis of Tupelo, Mississippi, Burleta and Don DeRoush of Nashville, Tennessee, Jackie and Ricky Huls of Sikeston and Reta and Jerry Lewis of Mayfield, Kentucky; and 10 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Bernie Neil and J.W. Neil; and four sisters, Sue Rollins, Lula Mae Davis, Annie Davis and Nell Ingram.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. Friday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston with the Rev. Georg Karl officiating.

Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories at Sikeston.

Pallbearers will be: Allan Hollis, David Hollis, Toby Hollis, Mark DeRoush, Paul Shelby, Austin Huls, Brian Lewis and Jerrod Lewis.

Honorary pallbearers will be: Clyde Hollis, Don DeRoush, Ricky Huls and Jerry Lewis.
