Sheriff's office searching for missing Mississippi County woman

The Mississippi County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in locating an East Prairie woman.

According to a release from the Mississippi County Sheriff’s Office, Madisson Lambert, 24, was last seen at 10:30 p.m. on Dec. 26. On Monday, the Mississippi County Sheriff’s Office received a report of Lambert being missing.

Upon gathering further information, Lambert’s vehicle was located outside of East Prairie on County Road 535. The vehicle appeared to be wrecked in a drainage ditch.

Deputies processed the vehicle and located nothing in or around the vehicle that would cause officers to suspect foul play.

Law enforcement is currently following all leads and gathering information to locate Lambert, who is 5-foot, 1-inches tall, weighing 106 pounds with blonde hair and blue eyes.

The Mississippi County Sheriff’s Office will follow up on all leads and information that is provided by the public.

The department activated the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control, or DDCC, for resources and extra manpower, Capt. Barry Morgan with the sheriff’s department said early Thursday.
