Jaynes, Hampton named Students of the Month

SIKESTON — Addison Jaynes and Cornesha Hampton were named Sikeston High School Students of the Month for May.

Sikeston Public Schools Foundation, which sponsors the monthly program, names two seniors each month for the honor during the 2020-2021 school year.

Jaynes, who is the daughter of Amy Jaynes (Keller) and Mark Jaynes, is member of Red Peppers. Her academic achievements include: magna cum laude, honor roll and ACT 21+ Club. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, baking and spending time with friends and family as much as possible.

Hampton is the daughter of Gwendolyn Hampton. Her honors awards and distinctions include being in the top 10% of her freshmen class; magna cum laude sophomore, junior and senior years, GPA of 3.84, selected to be a member of the National Society of High School Scholars and the National Honors Society, honor roll, CNA certification and BLS certification for healthcare providers. Her community service includes tutoring, participating in school contests and the mock trial for Youth and Government Day. She’s also completed American Heart Association training. She lists her hobbies as aesthetic journaling, reading, drawing, bullet journaling, makeup, volunteering, dancing, online shopping, listening to music and watching TV.
