MORRIS, Mo. — Billy Morris Curry of Morris, son of the late A.B. "Buck" and Clara (Purvis) Curry, was born on April 4, 1941, in Lamar, Arkansas, and passed away on July 29, 2021, in Morehouse, Missouri, at the age of 80 years.

Billy had lived in Southeast Missouri most his life. He was inducted in the U.S. Army on May 5, 1964.  He served in Vietnam and was Honorably discharged as SP-4 on the 30th day of April 1970.  On March 7, 1981, he was ordained as Deacon of Hope Well Association for the Faith General Baptist Church in Morehouse, Missouri. He had worked for Wheeler Farms for several years. He was the owner of Curry‘s Custom Cotton Harvester and in 1988 he started Curry’s Pest Control and worked as owner and operator for over thirty years.  He loved to fish and hunt.  

Billy married Donna Faye Tarrants in Ruleville, Mississippi, on Oct. 17, 1974, until her death on May 15, 2013.  

He is survived by two sons, Dennis (Rochelle) Jenkins of Arnold, Missouri, and William (Ruthie) Jenkins of Morehouse; two daughters, Connie McClure of Arnold and Michelle (Matthew) Creamer of St. Louis, Missouri; seven grandchildren Christina (Ryan) Hertel of Arnold, Dustin (Ashley) Jenkins of Arnold, James (Michelle) Nahm of O'Fallon, Missouri, Joshua Creamer of the U.S. Air Force, Luke Jenkins of Lexington, Tennessee, Nicholas (Tanya) Gardner of Fenton, Missouri and Amber Creamer of St. Louis; six great-grandchildren, Halee and Cobe Hertel, Brayden and Huntleigh Gardner and Harper and Ollie Jenkins. Also survives dear friends Arlon Pullem, George Gross and his family along with many other family and friends. He was preceded in death by one brother, Kenneth Curry; and one sister, Dorothy Cox.  

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 3, 2021, from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter with Randy Conn Pastor First Baptist Church Delta, Missouri, officiating.

Interment will follow in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri, at 2 p.m. with Watkins and Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
