Mike Hall
SIKESTON — Mike Hall, 65, took his final flight home to heaven on Friday, Aug. 6, 2021. He passed peacefully at home surrounded by family. He had spent the morning watching westerns with his girls.
Mike was born Feb. 2, 1956, to the late Jim and Sally Hall of La Forge, Missouri. On May 23, 1986, he married Sandy DeWitt Hall who survives. They were married 35 years. Together they have two children: Ashley (Justin) Palmer and Katlyn (Devin) Bader. He has two brothers, Mark (Sabra) Hall of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, and Steve (Michelle) Hall of East Prairie, Missouri. He has three nieces that he helped raise: Sydney Craft, Jessica DeWitt, and Sarah DeWitt. He also had two grandchildren who were his pride and joy: Logan and Molly Palmer.
Mike was known for his strong work ethic and for helping others. He spent 36 years as an Ag Pilot and was respected by all. He served as officer and President of the Missouri Agricultural Aviation Association for 10 years. He was a lifelong member of Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church where he served in many roles, his favorite being the annual fish fry. Mike loved farming, antique tractors, and a good bologna sandwich.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Doug Hall.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, Aug. 8, 2021 from 2 p.m. until time of funeral service at 4 p.m. at Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Miner, Missouri, with Bro. John Tarter, officiating.
A private burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
Pallbearers: Mark Hall, Steve Hall, Jesse Hall, Steven Hall, Ben Hall, Colton McKay
Honorary Pallbearers: Timmy Farrenburg, Harold Allred, Kenny Bell, Lee Minehart, Jonathan Allred, Doug Donavan and Jonathan King.
Nunnelee Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
