Billy Powell
CEDAR LANE, Texas — Billy Wayne Powell died Aug. 21, 2020, at his home in Cedar Lane, Texas.
Born June 6, 1946, in Atala, Alabama, son of the late Ollie Andrew Sr. and Bertha Lee Hannah Powell, he was a St. Louis, Missouri, Police Department retiree.
In addition to his wife, Phyllis, he is survived by three daughters, Kim (Mark) Pursely of Mexico, Missouri, Tina (Tim) Wilson of Biloxi, Mississippi, and Vanessa McKinney of Rosharon, Texas; three sons, David (Nancy) Powell of Sedona, Arizona, Ashton Cox of Humble, Texas, and Mark May of Batesville, Arkansas; and 13 grandchildren: Amy, Andrea, Sarah, Matthew, Jacob, Alex, Dawson, Sydney, Sabrina, Celeste, Haley, Scott and Bella; one great-grandson, Joanah; two brothers, Fred Powell of Barlow, Kentucky, and Clark Powell of Dayton, Ohio; two sisters, Lorene Divinny of St. Louis and Christine Mays of Lilbourn, Missouri.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by three brothers, Don Powell, Ollie Andrew Powell Jr. and Milton Powell.
