SIKESTON — Causie Lee Robinson was born May 28, 1949, in Bragg City, Missouri, to the late Major and Elizabeth Chandler Robinson. He was one in a family of 16 children, six boys and 10 girls.

Causie attended Bell City High School graduating. After high school, he married Bessie Gross, and four children were born from this union. He was employed by the Crowder Gin and Bright Farms for many years. He also worked for Stockade Building until his retirement.

On Sept. 15, 2021, God dispatched an angel to Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, to bring Causie home at the age of 72 years, three months, two weeks and four days.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Trish Robinson; his parents, Major and Elizabeth Robinson; sisters, Coleen Robinson, Mary Shearns, and Bobbie Ross; and a brother, Willie Gene Robinson.

He leaves to cherish loving memories his children, Zadric Lee Gipson, Shekeela Talana (Marvin) Robinson-Purvis of Sikeston; Causie Lee Robinson, Jr. of Miner, Missouri; and Brian Jarrell Robinson of Saint Louis, Missouri; four brothers, Major Robinson Jr. and Edward Robinson of Sikeston, Donnel Robinson of Sacramento, California, and Anthony Robinson of Lawrence, Kansas; seven sisters, Dorothy (Leonard) Robinson of Sikeston, Missouri, Annie Jones, Betty Long, Rosa Robinson, Susan Robinson, and Marsha (Derrick) Robinson-Davis all of Kansas City, Missouri, and Bonnie Robinson of Suffolk, Virginia; 17 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Friends and family may call Saturday, Sept. 25, 2021, from noon until the funeral hour of 1 p.m. at Christ Sanctuary COGIC in Bell City, Missouri, with Dr. Elisha Pullen officiating.

Interment will follow in the J.C. Pullen Memorial Garden in Bell City.
