JACKSON, Mo. — Patricia “Pat” Hart Carr, age 83, formerly of Charleston, Missouri, passed away Saturday, Oct. 23, 2021, at her daughter’s home in Jackson, surrounded by her loving family. 

She was born March 19, 1938, at Charleston, daughter of the late Thomas Henry and Ruth Shively Hart.

She was a 1956 graduate of St. Henry High School and graduated from St. John’s Hospital School of Nursing’s diploma program in St. Louis in 1959. Pat spent most of her life in service of others as a dedicated nurse. She played an instrumental role in the opening of Missouri Delta Medical Center’s dialysis unit where she spent most of her career. She retired in 2005 from Noranda Aluminum where she worked as an employee health nurse. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking, gardening, raising azaleas, dogwoods, and irises. She also loved spending time with her daughters and grandchildren.

Surviving are her brother Thomas Lee (Chris) Hart; her daughters, Julie (Brad) Twidwell and Carrie (Elliott) Williams; her grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Johnathan, Braden, Eli, Ashton and Joshua; and a great-grandson, Jaxon.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sweet granddaughter, Averie Williams.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the funeral hour at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2021,at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Father David Dohogne, pastor of St. Henry Catholic Church of Charleston, will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery near Charleston under the direction of McMikle Funeral Home of Charleston.
