One injured in Thursday accident

SIKESTON — A Sikeston man was seriously injured in an accident west of Sikeston Thursday afternoon.

At 4:43 p.m. Thursday, law enforcement was called to an accident at US 60 and Highway FF. The accident occurred when a semi truck, driven by Ralph Wright, 63, of Doniphan, Missouri, was turning northbound onto Highway FF and made a left turn into the path of a vehicle westbound on US 60 driven by Herbert A. Brown, 63, of Sikeston.

Brown sustained serious injuries and had to be extricated from the vehicle by emergency personnel. He was then taken by Air Evac to Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
