CATRON, Mo. — Richard Gorden Stinson, 66, a resident of Catron, died Friday, Nov. 12, 2021, of injuries sustained in a vehicle accident near Kewanee, Missouri.
Born Sept. 20, 1955, at Malden, Missouri, to the late George Leroy Stinson and Audrey Ruth Jackson Stinson, he had lived in the Kewanee and Catron area most of his life where he farmed and loved to raise cattle. He was also employed with the New Madrid County Highway Department for over 20 years until his retirement.
Surviving are his sisters, Reta (Roy) Taylor of Diehlstadt, Missouri, Violet Woods of Lilbourn, Missouri, Kay (Willie) Harris of Wyatt, Missouri, and Carol (Doyle) Braddum of Eldon, Missouri; also, a number of nieces, nephews and their families that he loved dearly.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Ale Lee Stinson.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2021, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.
Interment will follow in the Berrong Cemetery near Gipsy, Missouri, under the direction of McMikle Funeral Home of Charleston.
