Local college students earn academic honors

Local college students earned academic honors at their respective universities in the fall.

Harding University

SEARCY, Ark. - The following students are among more than 1,200 Harding University students included on the dean’s list for grades achieved during the fall 2021 semester.

Donnie Ray Brown, a sophomore studying marketing and leadership and ministry, of New Madrid, Missouri

Kinlee Lawrence, a sophomore studying elementary education, of Gideon, Missouri

Layne Medler, a freshman studying medical humanities and preprofessional health science, of Dexter, Missouri

MidAmerica Nazarene University

OLATHE, Kan. — MidAmerica Nazarene University recently announced its President’s, Dean’s List and Honor Roll for the fall 2021 semester. A total of 351 students qualified for one of the honors.

All students in traditional programs carrying 12 semester hours or more with a term GPA from 3.2 to 4.0 may qualify for one of these academic honors. Neutral credit hours are excluded from the calculation and reduce the course load used to figure the honor. The President’s List is a 4.0 grade point average for the semester; Dean’s List ranges from 3.5 to 3.99; and the Honor Roll is 3.2 to 3.49.

Ashley Parker of Sikeston, Missouri, made the dean’s list.

Southern New Hampshire University

MANCHESTER, N.H. — Southern New Hampshire University announced the following local students as being named to the Fall 2021 President’s List.

Full-time undergraduate students who have earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.700 and above are named to the President’s List. Full-time status is achieved by earning 12 credits; undergraduate day students must earn 12 credits in the fall or spring semester, and online students must earn 12 credits in either EW1 & EW2, EW3 & EW4, or EW5 & EW6.
