DOGWOOD, Mo. - William Paul Bradley, 91, died Monday, Jan. 24, 2022, at his home in Dogwood.
He was born March 27, 1930, in Mississippi County, Missouri to the late Wilbert Howard Bradley and Ollie Mae Jeffries Bradley. He retired after being employed for many years at Cargill, Inc. in Sikeston. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving during the Korean War in the Eighth Air Force 3535 Regiment. William enjoyed listening to Hank Williams music and playing his guitar, as well as fishing.
On Aug. 21, 1954, in Dogwood he married Betty Lou Matthews, who preceded him in death on March 1, 2014.
Survivors include one son, Johnny Ray Bradley of Dogwood; two brothers, Charles Lynsie Bradley of Arlington, Tenn. and Jackie Wayne Bradley of Sikeston; and one sister, Doris Jane Sumner of New Smyrna Beach, Fla.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Howard Lee Bradley, Samuel Perry Bradley and Billy Marshall Bradley; and one sister, Peggy Lou Abner.
Visitation was held Thursday, Jan. 27, 2022, from at 11 a.m. until time of funeral service at 1 p.m. at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie, with Bro. Martin Lucas officiating.
Interment with full military honors will follow in Dogwood Cemetery under the direction of Shelby Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be: Steve Duke, Gary Matthews, Mike Duke, Britt Duke, Tommy Nolen and Howard Bradley. Honorary pallbearer will be Medwick Johnston.
