Paul Lynn King, 75, of Sikeston, died Jan. 24, 2022, after a brief illness at his home.

Paul was born on Nov. 25, 1946, to Wallace and Inez King of Essex who preceded him in death. After Paul graduated from Richland High School in 1964, he went on to serve in the U.S. Army. After his service, he went on to study at Jefferson County Community College.

After graduating, he went on to wed and father his three beloved children. He worked faithfully as a dedicated employee of Burch Foods Company as a route salesman, kickstarting a 31-year career. After retirement, he spent his time serving as a faithful and dutiful member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Sikeston as well as gardening and spending time with those he loved. He especially loved sharing cups of coffee with his closest friends Donnie Adams, Dean MacDougal and the late John Bohannon.

His survivors include two daughters and one son: Keeley and Matt Bolen and their daughter Matelyn Bolen of Sikeston; Paul and Tina King and their sons Tristan and Ty King of Dexter and Drew and Jennifer King and their son Anthony Holler and daughter Ella Francke of Omaha, Nebraska.

Services will be held at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel on Friday, Jan. 28, 2022. Visitation for immediate family begins at 11 a.m., while the public visitation runs from noon until 2 p.m., at which time the funeral service begins. Officiants of the service include brothers-in-law Bro. Jerry Adams and Bro. Donnie Adams and his pastor Bro. Billy Davis.

Pallbearers are: Paul Wallace King, Brandon Hoosier, Dee Adams, Danny Adams, Adam Baker, Mike Pippin, David Pippin and Scott Sutton.
