Please quit buying fuel from Russia. You’re just financing the war against Ukraine. And open up the Keystone Pipeline.

I hope we still aren’t sending ships to Russia for fuel. I blame that on Biden. Why did he cancel the Keystone Pipeline? That was ridiculous. I wish it was open now, don’t you?

Where are monies spent?

With school board elections in the near future, it’s time to look and see how our school tax monies are being spent. I graduated from East Prairie High School in 1989 and lived here most of my life. We recently passed a much needed school bond issue that resulted in a much needed new school. The only problem is the new building faces south instead of facing the only major highway in town. Secondly, we recently dismissed an employee that was stealing school funds. This same person has been collecting monies at all football and basketball games for years. No checks and balances. Also, not the first job she has lost because of missing funds. Lastly, we, for some unknown reason, need assistant principals and an assistant superintendent. Those monies would buy a lot of supplies for the children in the classroom. No, I’m not a candidate for the school board — just a concerned taxpayer.
